VIT University School of Information Technology & Engineering

The School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) is the biggest of the nine schools in VIT University, India.

SITE gives education in Information technology(IT) and Software Engineering for training information service providers, human-computer interface, information system developers, information administrators and software engineers.

The school has 3250 students and 124 faculty, and visiting professors and professionals from industry. The faculty consists of several doctorates and the rest are enrolled for research leading to doctorate.

The curricula in SITE teach design and development of Web services and multimedia technologies. SITE has strong industry-institute relations. The school offers M.S., and Ph.D research programmes. The engineering and MCA programmes are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), U.K.
